No Condemnation...

Greetings, Dear Friends!

For those of you visiting I say welcome! I post every Wednesday.

My goal is simply this: to nourish your soul so that you may have a deeper life in Christ and a more powerful life on earth.

I love this picture. My sisters, my sisters-in-law, my mom, my niece and I sat down where the current was the strongest. We laughed, giggled, and sang songs. It was a great time.

The river of God flows with power and forgiveness and provision.

We will never enjoy the fullness of what God has for us until we jump in the river with full assurance that He owns the river and He wants us free; free from fear, self-hatred, and doubt; free to take hold of all He has offered us.

What keeps most of us from taking hold of the powerful life God promised us?

Unbelief, to be sure. But a close second has to be condemnation.

Many of us have a hard time letting ourselves off the hook.

We recount, rehash, and rehearse our mistakes and they re-injure us all over again.

How do we get past our mistakes? How do we get to the place in our faith when after we've blown it and repented, we are able to sit down where the current is the strongest and laugh, and giggle, and sing?

It's to this, we were called!

Remember the Benefits...

Greetings, Dear Friends!

For those of you visiting, I say welcome!

I post every Wednesday and my goal is to bless and nourish your soul that you may walk in the fullness of God.

For those who don't know Jesus (and for many who do) the Christian life seems marked by "ought to's", "don't do's", and "should do's." And though there is a great cost to following Jesus in a self-absorbed world, little is said about the great benefits of belonging to Him.

And that's what we are going to explore today.

What are the great benefits of belonging to God and why should we remember them?

His Love...

Happy Valentines Day, All!

For my new visitors, I say welcome!

I post every Wednesday and my purpose is to nourish your soul and challenge your faith that you may walk in the fullness God has appointed for you.

When was the last time you pondered the love of God? I'm not talking about a fleeting thought as you raced from one thing to the next, I'm talking about an extended time in God's presence when your only thoughts were those of His great love for you. How long were you able to sit there before your mind turned to your love, your deeds, and your abilities? I know, I do the same thing.

While it's important to think about the love that comes from you, it's even more important to sit long in God's presence and allow your thoughts to be consumed with this fact: You are the object of His affection and love. He treasures you and has given you this life as a chance to recieve it, believe it, and walk in it.

We love because He first loved us.

More Than Enough!

Greetings, Dear Friends!

For those of you visiting for the first time, I say welcome!

I post every Wednesday and my sole purpose for this Blog is to encourage you along your way. My focus is on the deeper life (roots down deep in Christ) and the powerful life (great growth and fruit in everything you do).

I love to hear from you, so please post a comment whenever you feel so led.

This week as I spent time reading and praying, I was struck anew by the way God extravagantly, abundantly, and bountifully supplies all of our needs. Futhermore, He takes our tiny little offerings and turns them into a harvest that leaves us scratching our heads, wondering what just happened.

How do we position ourselves to receive provision from above that it may translate to a powerful life on earth?
